Baton is looking for a talented Backend Engineer to join our proven team. You will be working in a highly collaborative environment focused on crafting a high quality product. The perfect candidate will have a keen sense of practices for scaling and resiliency, high standards for quality, and a strong sense of prioritization for incremental delivery. This role will have a strong architecture focus, with an emphasis on api design, integrations, internal tooling and developer productivity.

Responsibilities for this role include:

• Deliver stable, scalable APIs and backends.
• Be a key contributor to architectural decisions and execution.
• Solve non-trivial problems with simple, standard solutions.
• Own product backend performance.
• Willingness to be on-call, and run point on issues

About You

• You have experience with Django. Experience with frontend frameworks like React, Angular, Vue, etc. is a plus but not required
• You’ve implemented GraphQL APIs.
• You have experience with Docker and its ecosystem.
• You are very comfortable using Git.
